The Portal de Picos offers you the opportunity to safely and guided enjoy the Via Ferrata de la Hermida surrounded by the beauty of the Picos de Europa National Park.
If you've ever dreamt of climbing over a totally vertical wall or crossing Tibetan bridges that make your hair stand on end, this is your activity.

Recommended material

• We should look for hiking boots or sneakers prepared for light trekking or for Trail Running. May they have good protection and a very good grip.
• You should wear long, comfortable, breathable mountain pants with special reinforcements for rubbing.
• Essential garment for maintaining body heat and keeping skin dry.
• An important garment to protect against the wind that can be found in high mountain areas.
• Even if we are very protected with the clothes we wear, we must protect our entire skin with sunscreen SPF 30 or higher to avoid burns caused by the sun's rays the higher we rise.
• Sunglasses. They are essential to protect us from the sun. They do not serve as protectors for our eyes from small stones and branches that we find on the via ferrata.
• We need to bring water to hydrate because it is an activity that is done in good weather and in the place where it is done we will not find sources.

Important
If the weather wasn't good on the day of the activity and it couldn't be carried out, we wouldn't charge them or postpone it to another date if possible.

Location

We will meet in the heavy vehicle parking lot in the town of La Hermida where the material will be delivered and we will start the ferrata.
